We invite you to participate in the competition for delicious sweet "štrukeljci" at the event "Dobrote Jablaniška dolina 2023", organized by the Municipality of Šmartno at Litija in cooperation with the Association for Rural Development Laz.

Between August 18 and 19, 2023, the 2nd meeting of the partners of the Eurofolk project took place in idyllic locations - Bogenšperk Castle and Šmartno at Litija. The event was attended by project partners from three countries: Austria, Croatia and Slovenia. With the total participation of over 70 foreign citizens, unique bridges were formed between the municipality of Pliberk (Austria), the municipality of Breznički Hum (Croatia) and Šmartne pri Litija (Slovenia). The coordinator of the partnership meeting was the LAZ association, which has been operating in the area of Jablaniška dolina for the 20th year.

Strawberries and asparagus grow well along the Sava River. in the village of Breg pri Litija, which is located a little further from Litija towards Zagorje. For this purpose, the Laz Rural Development Association organizes an event every year, which is attended by thousands of visitors, which celebrates these two delicious fruits. This year's 13th in a row promises to be particularly interesting.

We celebrate many holidays in the month of March. As many as two are intended for women, and one, which we often forget about, is intended for men. In ŽPZ Laz, we decided to prepare a concert to mark Martyrs' Day and thus pay tribute to our men.

Choir singing in Slovenia, especially in the municipalities of Šmartno pri Litija and Litija, contributes well to the preservation of the cultural heritage and identity of the nation. Slovenians love to sing and, if not before, in a period when children grow up a little, when the dynamics at work calm down a bit or after retirement, we want a middle ground where we could live out the joy of singing.

Culinary and pleasant socializing for the whole family was the guiding principle of the Strawberry and Asparagus Day event, which will take place on Sunday, May 29, 2022 in the village of Breg pri Litija. Breg pri Litija is two kilometers from Litija, and 40 kilometers from Ljubljana. In a good half hour drive from the capital, you can enjoy fresh air and local delicacies in the countryside.
