Due to the forecast of bad weather this Saturday, April 1st, the 18th hike along the Jablaniška path has been postponed to April 16, 2023. Fortified hikers, families, as well as beginner hikers are invited to the hike. Take a walk along the pleasant forest paths and slopes of the circular Jablaniška path, which is 16 km long.
Hikers can register from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the fire station in Zgornja Jablanica, Šmartno pri Litija. The symbolic registration fee is €3.00. The organizers will provide a traditional Jablanica breakfast, which contains morning coffee or tea, ‘štrukeljc’ or other homemade cakes. We recommend that you take an apple with you and set off.
The Jablaniška path leads from the fire station past the church of St. Ane by cart to Jablaniške Laz. We continue along the asphalt road through the hamlet of Bukovica and then cross the road and continue through the forest towards the hamlet of Preslje. On the hill above the village with a wonderful view of the Julian Alps, Triglav and the Kamnik Savinjska Alps, we arrive at a checkpoint on the farm PRA sofa that is in the middle of the path. After resting, turn in the direction of Mamolje and when connecting to the macadam road, turn left along the forest path. Or we continue our journey along the macadam road to the church of St. John the Baptist. The second variant is a little longer. The paths merge halfway to the turnoff for the apiary, where we turn left. We continue walking along a pleasant forest path with a connection to the road, but soon we turn left again onto the forest path towards the hamlet of Zelenec. In good weather, we will have a wonderful view of the Kamniška Alps. Upon arrival at the village of Gradišče pri Litija, we will climb to the church of St. Magdalene and then around the hill to the village.
A unique adventure awaits us, from the feast of the locals, to the observation of small animals, various forest tree species, as well as the observation of bees and perhaps also butterflies, and above all, we enjoy the harmony of birdsong or mother nature.
During the journey, we will be able to insert ourselves on different farms with an offer. We continue along the marked path to the hamlet of Prlesje. We will slowly arrive at the highest point of our hiking trail PRA sofa where we will stamp our hiking cards.
