We attended an event within the framework of an international project ‘the interculturality of society for greater civil participation’ , which connected the participants of the four UN countries, was supported by the European Commission within the Europe for Citizens program. We met with our acquaintances from the Croatian Martin municipality of Brezniški Hum, and established new knowledge with the hosts of the municipality of Šmartno ob Paki and planned new joint projects that would benefit from our common potential – St. Martina, which supports the municipal holiday in all three municipalities.
In the morning, the president of the Šmar tourist association took the majority of our team among the vineyards and brick houses, where they prepared a tasting of good Styrian wines for us. Meanwhile, the cooking group was preparing Martin’s feast in Martin’s village.
Our singers also contributed to the varied program under the tent women’s choir, which slightly warmed up the cold visitors of Martin’s Day.
