A wide range of delicacies made from fresh strawberries and asparagus, grilled dishes and handicrafts are an excellent choice for a Sunday trip, as well as lunch.
The month of May has arrived and with it also beautiful sunny weather. On May 27, from 10:00 a.m., it will smell of various asparagus and strawberry dishes. Visiting our event saves you the time you would spend cooking Sunday lunch. This time, in addition to already known dishes, such as asparagus frtajla, risotto and pasta, the members of the Society for Rural Development will prepare slightly more unknown asparagus dishes, such as pies, roasted new potatoes and toast. The main ingredient of all of them is, of course, locally produced asparagus. For all visitors who are always tempted by good pastries and desserts, we will prepare various strawberry desserts, pancakes and, of course, strawberry ice cream.
If the offer of asparagus and strawberry desserts will not fill you up yet, you will also be able to serve yourself dishes from the grill. Locally grown asparagus and strawberries will be available at the stalls where you can buy them.

Strawberry and Asparagus Day is becoming a traditional event, as people like to go to culinary events that have a rich cultural program. Every year, the Society for Rural Development Laz strives to find something new and interesting for every visitor.
As every year, visitors will be able to see a wide range of craftsmen at the stands. With the help of animators, the youngest will immerse themselves in playing and creating.
But if your heels itch, you will be able to spin to the rhythm of the music of the duo Lithuanian echo.
In Slovenia, we have an indigenous breed of Carniolan grey bee, which is why the neighboring homestead Paternoster has prepared a tour of the life of bees on this day. Visitors will be able to see the Slovenian apiary, the life of the autochthonous Slovenian breed of bee breed of the Carniola lavender, try honey massage, as well as API therapy. The home is known for its milk processing, so visitors will be able to taste their cheeses and other dairy products. The specialty of their offer is sleeping in the hayloft and in the kaižas.
The rest of the homestead’s offer includes receptions of various tourist groups, birthday parties, children’s camps, a camp and a rest area for motorhomes.
The event will take place at the already known location at the fire station in Breg pri Litija, Tenetiše 2.

Starting point Ljubljana: Leave the Ljubljana ring road that connects Ljubljana with Štajerska in Šentjakob and take it to Zasavska cesta. After a 28 km drive, you arrive in Litija, where you cross the bridge over the Sava River and continue in the direction of Zagorje ob Sava. After 1.5 km, turn right from the Zasavska road to the village of Breg pri Litija. Directional signs will lead you to the event space.
From the direction of Štajerska: leave the highway at Trojane and head to Zagorska dolina. In Zagorje ob Sava, cross the river Sava and turn right onto Zasavska cesta, in the direction of Ljubljana. After 16 km, you reach the village of Breg pri Litija, where you turn left. Directional signs will lead you to the event space.
From the direction of Dolenjska: leave the highway in Bič or Ivančna Gorica. Follow the roadside signs for the direction of Litija. You drive past Bogenšperk Castle. After 21 km you arrive in Šmartno pri Litija, where the mighty church stands. After a 2 km drive in the direction of Zagorje ob Sava, you arrive in the village of Breg pri Litija. Directional signs will lead you to the event space.
