Individuals who are interested in improving life in the countryside are involved in the Society for Rural Development LAZ. We are happy to enjoy the privilege of being in the countryside. We share the beauty of our places with excursionists, hikers, tourists, vacationers, who present us with customers for products and services from the complementary activities of homesteads. We eat healthy food that we have grown ourselves or bought from a neighbor. We have everything ‘what the big have’. We have quality social, social and rich cultural life. Our children are calm and satisfied, they socialize in the common areas of the locals, which we have arranged in the villages. We cultivate good neighborly relationships.
Our values are therefore a healthy, quality life in the countryside, an active contribution of the individual to the development of the local community and openness to cooperation and networking in the wider community and the EU.
In the fall of 2020, we carried out a work campaign organized by the Association for Rural Development Laz. We cleaned part of the overgrown bushes around the church of St. Magdalene in Gradišče pri Litija. Because we want the area around the church to be arranged really nicely, we joined forces again in March 2021 and additionally cleaned the surroundings. 33 volunteers from the Jablaniška valley joined the campaign, who care about the preservation of the rural landscape. Every hand came in handy. We are especially happy that a large number of young people took up the work, who in this way showed that they are proud of the heritage that our ancestors gave us.
At the same time, it became clear how important it is for people to socialize and maintain social contact, which we lack in these times. Despite the hard and hard work, positive energy, laughter, and singing grew among the volunteers.
