View good practices – from Grosupeljsko polje to Tuhinjska dolina

This year's tour of good practices was aimed at getting to know the activities of tourist associations and tourist spots in Grosuplje and Tuhinjska dolina, which are run by the aforementioned tourist associations, the Županova jama Tourist and Environmental Association, the CER Tourist Association and the Tuhinjska Dolina Tourist Association. All these associations, together with the LAZ association, are partners in the project Tourism in the countryside, which is financed by the Ministry of Public Administration.

Over the course of the year, we have connected the offer of societies and the areas in which we operate into a common integral tourist product. The conditions in September allowed the members of the LAZ association to take a bus along part of this route. The program also includes a tour of our collection of Sava pebbles on Breg, which we skipped this time.

We welcomed a sunny Sunday in the Župan’s Cave, the pearl of the Dolenjska world, which with its richly decorated halls decorated with its richly decorated halls is certainly one of the most beautiful Slovenian tourist caves. During a one-hour tour with a cave guide, with ‘front’ lights, we got to know its stunning underground world. The route led us to the nearby Cerovo and to Vodomčev gaj, where there is an idyllic natural environment with an intertwining of wetlands, ponds and meadows, which was arranged by the members of the Cer Tourist Association.

After good home-made food, we continued our journey to Tuhinjska dolina and walked barefoot along the Kneipp path and thus got to know Kneipp’s philosophy of a healthy lifestyle. After the presentation of the work and activities of the Tuhinjska dolina Tourist Association, we ended the day at a Kneipp dinner with an emphasis on local seasonal cuisine.

We couldn’t hide our enthusiasm when we got to know the still undiscovered corners of Slovenia not far away. When it is possible to travel again, our partner organizations will also ‘return’ our visit.
