What’s better than enjoying spring sunny days outdoors? Enjoy them with a wonderful culinary offer from ingredients that convince even the most demanding eaters, of course!
The charming village of Breg pri Litija has long been known for its production of extremely tasty strawberries and asparagus. Strawberries and asparagus grow well along the Sava River. In the village of Breg pri Litija, which is located a little further from Litija towards Zagorje. This year’s 11th in a row promises to be particularly interesting.
The event starts at 10 a.m. on the lawn near the fire station in Breg (address: Tenetiše 2, 1270 Litija).
The co-creators of this year’s event will provide a variety of events throughout the day. In addition to the well-known tastings of various asparagus dishes and strawberry desserts, visitors will be able to try relaxation of the body with chi – gong. Various craftsmen will diversify the offer at the event, and invite you to create unique products. The neighboring Paternoster homestead will also be interesting to visit.
Visitors to this year’s event will also be able to see the restored permanent collection of Sava pebbles in the GD fire station, which was supplemented by the exhibition Collections of birds from our environment. This year is festive for PGD Breg, as its high 100th anniversary. Everything will take place in front of the fire station and at the venue of the event.
Animation will also be provided for the youngest, who will participate in creative workshops or play on the children’s playground…

Paths that take you to the event
Starting point Ljubljana: Leave the Ljubljana ring road that connects Ljubljana with Štajerska in Šentjakob and take you to Zasavska cesta. After 28 km, you arrive in Litija, where you cross the bridge over the Sava River and continue in the direction of Zagorje ob Sava. After 1.5 km, turn right from the Zasavska road to the village of Breg pri Litija. Directional signs will lead you to the parking and event space.
From the direction of Štajerska: leave the highway at Trojane and head to Zagorska dolina. In Zagorje ob Sava, you cross the river Sava and turn right onto Zasavska cesta, in the direction of Ljubljana. After 16 km, you reach the village of Breg pri Litija, where you turn left. Directional signs will lead you to the parking and event space.
From the direction of Dolenjska: leave the highway in Bič or Ivančna Gorica. Follow the roadside signs for the direction of Litija. Drive past Bogenšperk Castle. After 21 km you arrive in Šmartno pri Litija. After 2 km in the direction of Zagornje ob Sava, you arrive in the village of Breg pri Litija. Directional signs will lead you to the parking and event space.
