On April 7, 2018, this time the 15th hike along the Jablaniška path will be organized. Fortified hikers, families, as well as beginner hikers are invited to the hike. We will walk along pleasant forest paths and the slopes of the circular Jablaniška path, which is 18 km long.
Hikers can register from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the fire station in Zgornja Jablanica, Šmartno pri Litija. The symbolic registration fee is €2.50. The organizers provide a traditional breakfast that includes morning coffee or tea, ‘štrukeljc’ or other homemade cakes. We take an apple with us in our backpack and set off. At the starting point this year, the organizers will collect funds for the purchase of a defibrillator, which will be installed at the GD in Jablanica. Funds are being collected together with other operating societies in the Jablaniška Valley.
The Jablaniška path leads from the fire station past the church of St. Ane by cart to Jablaniške Laz. We continue along the asphalt road through the hamlet of Bukovica and then cross the road and continue through the forest towards the hamlet of Preslje. On a hill with a wonderful view of Triglav, we arrive at a checkpoint at the farm PRA sofa that is in the middle of the path. After resting, we turn towards Mamolje to the church of St. John the Baptist. We continue along the road and turn left into the apiary. When we join the road, we soon turn left onto the forest path towards the hamlet of Zelenec. In good weather, we have a wonderful view of the Kamniška Alps. When we reach the village of Gradišče pri Litija, we will climb to the church of St. Anne and then around the hill to the village.
A unique adventure awaits us, from the feast of the locals, to the observation of small animals, various forest tree species, as well as the observation of bees and perhaps also butterflies, and above all, we enjoy the harmony of birdsong or mother nature.
During the journey, we will insert ourselves on different farms with an offer. We will be able to insert at the PR farmGustelno, where they grow Siberian blueberries, will be served a warm cake. We continue along the marked path to the hamlet of Prlesje. Let’s insert ourselves at the PR farmDragot, where we can observe playful shrimps. Locals will provide hungry and thirsty hikers. At the highest point of our PR hiking trailWe will stamp our hiking cards. Let’s take our time and listen to the stories of a master who is an avid hunter. Do you know ‘hunting’? Housewife Pavla will certainly be happy to take care of the well-being of the hikers. Girls from the Association of Rural Women Polšnik will welcome us with sweet treats again this year. We have almost finished the climbs along the way, only a few short ones are still waiting for us. Turn left from the paved road and descend to the village of Zelenc, where we will be at the farm PROblak master Martin served his own drop, and at the same time we will observe their domestic animals. We must not forget the visit of the herbalist Pavla to the farm PRJohn. We will be served refreshing homemade teas. Herbs are grown and collected for them themselves. We will also be able to buy teas. A short climb to the church of St. Magdalene, where we sign in the hiking book, we take a break and go along the forest path to the organic farm PRcocoon. The smell of freshly baked bakery products from the bread oven will attract us to their yard. With every bite, you can feel the love it gives. Breda while she is preparing the dough. The ecological homestead Vovk, which is known for the organization of summer camps on its homestead, will also be presented at the event space.
At the finish line in the village of Gradišče, a pleasant gathering awaits us with good home-made food, drinks and a lucky draw, organized by the LAZ association. On the occasion of the 15th jubilee hike, the organizer is preparing a festive cultural program with guests. On the occasion of this anniversary, we will give awards and symbolic souvenirs to the most loyal hikers, which hikers will also be able to buy.
The journey to the valley will only take us 20 minutes, so we will not be in a hurry to get home and we can stay in happy company until the late afternoon. For those who want to go home with organized transport, the departure will be at 14:00 from Gradišče pri Litija.
Before we go down to the valley, we stop at the homestead of memories, where we can see a new exhibition, which should remain a secret for once. The descent back to Jablanica will pass in the blink of an eye. The route will lead us past Skebet’s homestead, to the village of Zg. Jablanica passes Majčeva kašča, where they still store produce to our starting point at the fire station.

Zgornja Jablanica can be reached from several directions:
From Dolenjska via Bogenšperk and in Šmartne near the church towards Gabrovka and before Cerovica, turn left towards the fire station in Zg. Jablanica – and above it we can see the church of St. Anne.
From the direction of Ljubljana, we pass through Litija and after two kilometers we meet those who come along the Zasavska cesta from the direction of Trbovlje, turn into the village of Breg at the greenhouse along the main road and continue along the Jablaniška valley in the direction of Gabrovka – after three We are at the starting point of the hike for kilometers.
We can also come by train, as the organizers will take care of bus transport from Litija at 7:55 a.m. railway station, 8:00 a.m. Sports hall Litija, 8:05 a.m. Import to Breg (Tenetiše-Pr’ Pleskovc).
