When nature takes on its most beautiful autumn colors and the air is filled with the scent of homemade delicacies, it’s time to socialize, laugh, and enjoy the authentic flavors of the countryside. The blend of traditional cuisine and modern flavors delights visitors and convinces even the most demanding gourmets.
Zgornja Jablanica is a pleasant village in the heart of the Jablanica Valley, surrounded by meadows, forests and picturesque hills. The place is characterized by a rich rural tradition, the closeness of the locals and numerous social and cultural activities that preserve the authentic life in the countryside. Fruit growing, especially apple growing, has been an important part of the lives of the locals for generations and remains a symbol of fertility, homeliness and respect for nature to this day.
That is why the LAZ Association is organizing a tribute to the apple tree and the apple Apple Sunday.
Apple Sunday will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 10 a.m. in front of the fire station in Zgornja Jablanica (Zgornja Jablanica 1, 1275 Šmartno pri Litiji).
At the LAZ Association, we are preparing a varied culinary offer for you from APPLE – we will offer you sweet and savory apple delicacies as well as some culinary surprises. The diverse flavors will pamper your taste buds and invite you to discover new combinations.
Local vendors and artisans will be presenting their products, showcasing the wealth of local offerings, knowledge and tradition. The youngest will be able to develop their creativity in the children’s corner and make new friends. Good local music will provide a pleasant atmosphere, and there will also be a raffle with interesting prizes. From now on, the first Sunday in October is dedicated to pleasant socializing and entertainment for the whole family, as well as a tribute to the apple tree and apple delicacies.
