On April 6, 2019, the 16th hike along the Jablanica path will be organized. Fortified hikers, families, as well as beginner hikers are invited to the hike. Take a walk along the pleasant forest paths and slopes of the circular Jablaniška path, which is 18 km long.
Hikers can register from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the fire station in Zgornja Jablanica, Šmartno pri Litija. The symbolic registration fee is €3.00. The organizers will provide a traditional Jablanica breakfast, which contains morning coffee or tea, ‘štrukeljc’ or other homemade cakes. We recommend that you take an apple with you and set off.
The Jablanica path leads from the fire station past the church of St. Ane by cart to Jablaniške Laz. We continue along the asphalt road through the hamlet of Bukovica and then cross the road and continue through the forest towards the hamlet of Preslje. On a hill with a wonderful view of Triglav, we arrive at a checkpoint at the farm PRA sofa that is in the middle of the path. After resting, we turn towards Mamolj to the church of St. John the Baptist, then we continue along the road and turn left into the apiary. When we join the road, we soon turn left onto the forest path towards the hamlet of Zelenec. If we are lucky and have good weather, we will have a wonderful view of the Kamnik Alps. Upon arrival at the village of Gradišče pri Litija, we will climb to the church of St. Anne and then around the hill to the village.
A unique adventure awaits us, from the feast of the locals, to the observation of small animals, various forest tree species, as well as the observation of bees and perhaps also butterflies, and above all, we enjoy the harmony of birdsong or mother nature.
During the journey, we will be able to insert ourselves on different farms with an offer. One of these is the Pr’ Gustelnu, where Siberian blueberries can be obtained in the summer, and you will be served a warm cake during this time. We continue along the marked path to the hamlet of Prlesje. We will slowly arrive at the highest point of our hiking trail PRA sofa where we will stamp our hiking cards. While waiting, let’s listen to the stories of the master, who is an enthusiastic hunter. Do you know ‘hunting’? Housewife Pavla will certainly be happy to take care of the well-being of the hikers. This year, too, we will be greeted by girls from the Association of Rural Women Polšnik with their sweet treats. We have almost finished the climbs along the way, only a few short ones are still waiting for us, so we turn left from the paved road and descend to the village of Zelenc, where we will be at the farm PRMaster Martin served up his own drop of wine. For all hikers, a visit to the herbalist Pavla at the PR farm is unforgettable.John., where we will be served refreshing homemade tea. Herbs are grown and collected for them themselves. Teas are also on sale. We are almost at the finish line, as we are separated from the destination by a short climb to the church of St. Magdalene, where we sign in the hiking book, take a break and go along the forest path to the organic farm PRcocoon. The smell of a candle of baked bakery products from the bread oven will lead us to them. When trying baked products, we will be able to feel the love and dedication that he gives with every bite. At the finish line in the village of Gradišče, a pleasant gathering awaits us with good home-made food, drinks and a lucky draw, organized by the LAZ association. The organizer is also preparing a short cultural program for us on this 16th hike.
The return to the valley will only take us 20 minutes, so we will not be in a hurry to get home and we will be able to stay in happy company until the late afternoon. For all those who want to go home with organized transport, the departure will be at 14:00 from Gradišče pri Litija.
Before we go down to the valley, we stop at the House of memories, where we can see the new exhibition prepared by the Samec couple, this year it will be very special, because we will be able to see a retrospective of all the exhibitions and, as a special, the Samec couple will present their collection of postcards by Maksim Gaspari. The descent back to Jablanica will pass in the blink of an eye. The route will lead us past Skebet’s homestead, to the village of Zg. Jablanica, past Majčeva kašča, where they still store produce to our starting point at the fire station.

You can get to Zgornja Jablanica from several directions:
From Dolenjska via Bogenšperk and in Šmartne near the church towards Gabrovka and before Cerovica, turn left towards the fire station in Zg. Jablanica – and above it you can see the church of St. Anne.
From the direction of Ljubljana, you pass through Litija and after two kilometers you will meet those who come along the Zasavska cesta from the direction of Trbovel, turn into the village of Breg at the greenhouse along the main road and continue along the Jablaniška valley in the direction of Gabrovka – after three You are at the starting point of the hike for kilometers.
