What’s better than enjoying May’s sunny days outdoors? Enjoy them with excellent cuisine from ingredients from the home environment, which convince even the most demanding gourmets.
The beautiful village of Breg pri Litija, located on the path a little further from Litija to Zagorje, has long been known for its production of extremely tasty strawberries and asparagus. Strawberries and asparagus grow well along the Sava River. For this purpose, the Laz Rural Development Association organizes an event every year in May Strawberry and Asparagus Day. Visitors can thus try a new asparagus dish every year or treat themselves to strawberry desserts.

The organizer Laz Association and the providers at the event will take care of a variety of events throughout the day. In addition to tasting a variety of asparagus dishes and strawberry desserts from the hands of local housewives, visitors will be able to walk at the stands of various craftsmen, who will enrich the offer at the event, and invite you to create unique products. The neighboring Paternoster homestead will also be interesting to visit.
Visitors to the event will also be able to see the permanent collection of Sava pebbles and the collection of our birds in the fire station. The youngest will have a place to play on the playground next to the fire station.
