We presented ourselves again at the Natour Alpe Adria fair on February 2-4, 2017

At the beginning of February, the central tourist fair Natour Alpe Adria, specialized in the offer of green, active tourism with the boutique business exchange Natour, took place at the Gospodarski raštavišče in Ljubljana again this year. The red thread of the fair was  active tourism for travelers, athletes, mountaineers, hikers, active recreationists, runners, cyclists, lovers of adrenaline sports in nature. More than 330 tourism providers from 12 countries presented themselves at the fair.

This year, the LAZ association also presented itself as part of the Tourist Association of Slovenia in Hall C, which is traditionally reserved for tourist associations and associations from the wider Slovenia. We were there from Thursday, February 2 to Saturday, February 4. The main purpose of the association’s presentation was to promote events and tourist offers in the Jablaniška Valley.

In the days before the start of the fair, the Society for Rural Development Laz acquired the status of a legal entity that works in the public interest, in the field of promoting the development of tourism, which was awarded to us by the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology. Namely, a tourist area is a geographically rounded area of one or more municipalities that offers certain tourist services (from accommodation, food, entertainment, recreation services, to other leisure services), for which the tourist chooses it as his travel destination. Due to the acquired status of promoter of tourism development in the municipalities of Litija and Šmartno pri Litija, we invited various associations or individuals.

On Thursday and Friday, the Laz association was represented by the herbalist Pavla Rozina, who is already an old acquaintance at the aforementioned fair. On Friday, Nace and Helena promoted their Paternoster homestead. For two days, the Oglarska dežela was also presented at the promotional area of the LAZ association, and one day each of the Society for the Development of Slivna, ZKMŠ and the Intergenerational Music Society of Litija.

The events at the fair were happy and relaxed, as is usually the case for tourist associations. Every stand smelled good local food and drink. Many promoters also provided music, mostly with an accordion, which added that finishing touch to the entire atmosphere of the fair.

The Jablaniška valley and its apple march are becoming recognizable among Slovenians. We successfully established contacts, both among exhibitors and among visitors. We look forward to future events organized by the association and we invite you to attend them on this occasion.
