The Laz Rural Development Association organized the 14th traditional hike along the Jablaniška path. With a lot of investment from the organizer in the promotion of the event, we attracted numerous new hikers. This year’s hike was attended by approx. 1000 hikers. The extremely beautiful weather allowed the easy-to-use route to be very pleasant, which also showed itself in the good will of many hikers.
At the start in Zgornja Jablanica, a crowd of hikers were greeted by a smiling group of volunteers from the ranks of the Laz association. Before the start, the hikers refreshed themselves with a traditional Jablanica breakfast (apple, štrukeljc, coffee and tea) and, well refreshed, embarked on a 15 km long circular route.
Along the way, the locals, as always, provided an excellent range of local delicacies. For this time, the high temperatures kept the hikers on the way longer than usual, so that they could sit a little tired and lie down on the slopes of the slopes. Despite the abundance, the hikers spread out along the Jablaniška path and there was no sense of crowding. Thus, the providers along the way could devote themselves to passers-by and chat with them.
A rich cultural program awaited the satisfied hikers at the finish line in Gradišče pri Litija. Those present were entertained by the Dolenj comedy ‘Joža and Jože’, accompanied by accordionist Uroš Hauptman, the singers of ŽPZ Laz traditionally sang.
On the way down to the valley, many hikers stopped at the Domačija pomominov, where they saw the new 12th thematic exhibition Pogledi Slovenije. As usual, the Samec couple impressed the visitors of the exhibition with their stories and anecdotes.
Both the organizers and the hikers were satisfied with the hike. With the help of donors, the event was carried out with quality. Special thanks go to the donors who helped make the event even richer.
