On a sunny Sunday, May 27, 2018, the Laz Rural Development Association organized this time the 10th traditional Strawberry and Asparagus Day event on Breg pri Litija. The weather was kind to us this time, as we had pleasant temperatures and a lot of sun. It is because of this and because of the good word about the excellently prepared asparagus and strawberry dishes that a large number of visitors attended the event.
In addition to domestic visitors, we were delighted with visitors from all over Slovenia, and we can also boast of visitors from all over Europe and even Russia.
We spoiled all the visitors with deliciously prepared asparagus dishes such as asparagus frtalja, asparagus with bacon,…
Our members were happy to create excellent strawberry pastries. Their stand was always surrounded by visitors, as they could try excellent pastries, and the children were most satisfied with pancakes filled with fresh strawberries.
Those visitors who like grilled dishes were also catered for. At the event, visitors could buy both strawberries and asparagus.
All visitors who love home-made products could see the stalls that were filled with home-made products such as homemade teas, homemade pastries, homemade oils, and wooden products. Of course, all products were also for sale.
The members of Litija Odmev took care of the good mood of the visitors, as well as the organizers. The younger members also took care of the children, as they could play basketball, ball games, draw and create in the organized children’s corner.
The neighboring Paternoster homestead opened the doors of its homestead to all visitors. Visitors could see the Slovenian apiary and the life of bees. For those hungry, they prepared a grilled suckling pig.
