On Sunday, May 21, 2017, the Laz Rural Development Association organized the 9th traditional Strawberry and Asparagus Day event on Breg pri Litija.
After the rainy week, the day of the event was sunny, so a large number of visitors watched the culinary event.
The participants of the event could treat themselves to homemade strawberry desserts, pancakes and ice cream. Fresh strawberries and asparagus could be bought. Culinary connoisseurs were catered for, as the members of the LAZ association, under the mentorship of renowned chef Robert Merzel, prepared delicious asparagus dishes.
The visitors could spin to the sounds of the lithium echo, the children were taken care of in the children’s corner and at the neighboring Paternoster homestead, where they could bake their own bread on a stick. Visitors could walk among the stalls, where it was possible to buy domestic and artificial crafts from craftsmen.
Visitors could test and renew their knowledge of basic resuscitation procedures on a completely new AED device under the mentorship of an experienced team of rescuers from the Regional Association of RK Litija.
