Traditionally, on December 26, young and old from Jablaniška dolina gathered, because that magical time of the year has arrived – Štefan’s meeting 2017.

Visitors to Štefan’s meeting
We started the varied cultural program with a comedy for adults. Two historical characters Tito and Hitler joined us. The two gentlemen made us all laugh and positively surprised us.

This was followed by the performance of ŽPZ Laz. The singers warmed up the audience with three songs. This year, the new choir director Manca Vidic joined the choir, and several new singers joined them, so that now there are already 28 of them singing in the choir.

We continued with Jablaniška young talents, who had already prepared for their performance in advance. Lea Garantini and Ana Urbas were the first to perform with a dance number. Neža Marolt sang and played the guitar next on stage. Then the young singers Nik and Aljaž Potisek took the stage and each sang their own children’s song. This was followed by the performance of the young accordionist Matevž Marolt, who played two songs for us on the accordion. At the end, all the talents, accompanied by Neža Marolt, sang a white snowflake on the guitar.

After the performance of young talents, we continued the program with the theater play My friend, good man, performed by the Smejček theater. The children enjoyed the show and participated a lot. After the show, Santa Claus also visited and presented gifts to the children. We didn’t even forget about the elderly citizens, to whom we handed out small gifts.

When the cultural program ended, both the performers and the visitors were treated to delicacies (roasted apples, pancakes), which were baked by hard-working housewives and the hosts of the Laz Rural Development Association. Together, we refreshed ourselves with homemade tea, mulled wine or aperitif.
The program of the meeting and gifting of children is made possible by the Municipality of Šmartno pri Litija, the organizer is the LAZ association.
