During Children’s Week, representatives of the LAZ association participated on Friday 06.10.2017 at Vače Elementary School, where we tried our hand at the role of teachers for one school day. We joined more than 12 non-governmental organizations in the campaign ‘NGO goes to school’ at 11 elementary schools in the Central Slovenia and Zasava regions.
Sava Pebble – a work of art
From 8:00 a.m., almost 90 students from the fourth to the ninth grade lined up in the art classroom in four school hours. We presented them with the operation of the association and the permanent collection of pebbles from the Sava River. We enriched the presentation by drawing on Sava pebbles. The students relaxed a lot and real works of art were created.

The purpose of the campaign, which is coordinated by the ZLHT – the Regional NGO Center, is for children to learn about various free time activities and to learn about the possibilities offered by the local environment for a more active and experienced leisure time.
