Participants of the LAZ association on the Rumi project
The project meeting in Ruma was the last and was linked to all previous meetings, and through pilot trial concepts and the exchange of knowledge, we were aware of the measures to protect water in accordance with EU policy and values, which benefit all citizens. As part of the meeting, an eco day was held, which the project partners attended.
On the first day, the Rum Red Cross, local non-profit organizations and schools, which encouraged volunteering and the involvement of citizens in projects to prevent various flood and other risks, were the first to introduce themselves to us. Young members of RK Ruma and Civil Protection performed a demonstration of how to help in fire and flood.

On the second day, we visited the Biological Reserve Zasavica, Borkovac and the flood walls of Hrkovac, which show positive measures for water protection and civil defense. As part of the Eco Day, we took a boat ride on Lake Pavlovac, where we were impressed by the rich fauna and flora of this area. We also visited the Kovačević winery in Irgo, where they presented us with how local producers take measures to improve industrial processes, as well as measures to protect the environment.
