In November 2015, the LAZ association organized the culinary event of the Goodness of the Jablaniška Valley for the first time. The main thread of the event was the evaluation of samples of roasted strudels and herbal brandy. Based on the good response of the people, we in the association decided to organize the event this fall as well.
On Sunday, November 27, the Jablaniška valley smelled of walnut, mint and tarragon štrukeljci. The scents were complemented by herbs soaked in brandy. A total of 35 samples arrived for evaluation. The fact that we are on the right path was also shown due to such a greater number of registrants, as well as the greater variety of products. However, since the LAZ association also strives for intercity cooperation, this year we also invited the Association of Rural Women from Litija and Šmartne, Polšnik and Gabrovka to participate.

The purpose of the evaluation is to check and raise the quality of the culinary specialties of the Jablaniška Valley, which in the future can serve us as a recognizable tourist offer in the narrower area.
However, since the main guide of the program is both of a culinary and educational nature, Dr. of ethnology, Boža Grafenauer, otherwise a lecturer at the Higher Professional School for Hospitality and Tourism in Bled. As part of the short cultural program, we were able to listen to the presentation of the international student exchange in Latvia and the Prešeren melody of the young accordionist Nik Grabnar.
Considering the extremely positive response of both the participants and the visitors, we will certainly repeat the event.
