The Laz Rural Development Association organized the 16th hike along the Jablaniška path. A large number of hikers took part in this year’s hike. The weather allowed the hikers to have a very pleasant path, which also showed themselves in the good will of many hikers.
The sun doesn’t avoid anyone. Even the real hikers did not let it lie down on the 16th hike along the Jablaniška path. After a rainy night, on Saturday, April 6, nature woke up to a fresh and washed morning. The birds accompanied the early hikers who came from all over with their morning song. Phil Bosmans wrote: ‘Look at the sky and sing, for the sun shines for free and also for you’.
At the start in Zgornja Jablanica, the hikers were welcomed by a smiling group of volunteers from the ranks of the LAZ association. Before the start, the hikers refreshed themselves with a traditional Jablanica breakfast (apple, štrukeljc, coffee and tea) and, well refreshed, embarked on a 15 km long circular route. It’s nice to hear satisfied hikers when they say at the end how well they were received by the organizers at the very start in Jablanica and further along the path on the homesteads of friendly locals, of whom the organizers are very proud. Without cooperation and support in the local environment and active members of the LAZ association, a sports and recreational event would not have been successfully held.
The morning was indeed promising, but the mists spread throughout the day to obscure the views of hikers up to the Kamnik and Julian Alps. That’s why they received the sun and good will on the homesteads past which the path leads and carried it all the way to the destination. Although it looked like slightly fewer hikers took part in this year’s hike, a pleasant atmosphere developed at the organic farm Pr Kokol. The singers of ŽPZ Laz, however, enriched it even more with their cultural program.
The organizer of the event, the Laz Rural Development Association, would like to thank all the donors and sponsors who contributed to an even more successful implementation of the event with their contribution.
On the way down to the valley, many hikers stopped at the Memories Home, where they saw a new thematic exhibition of postcards by the Slovenian painter Maksim Gaspari. As usual, the Samec couple impressed the visitors of the exhibition with their stories and anecdotes.
Both the organizers and the hikers were satisfied with the hike. With the help of donors, the event was carried out with quality. Special thanks go to the donors who helped make the event even richer.
